Who We Are

Sisters of Divine Grace (SDG), founded in 2013, is a community of Catholic women who have come together in Consecration to God and service to both the Catholic Church and the surrounding world. We live in community, currently residing in the Diocese of Memphis, having relocated from Idaho, where we originated. Each of the past ten years since our founding has afforded its own remarkable blessings and learning experiences, enabling us to more clearly understand and articulate God's desire and mission for us.

SDG was endorsed on December 8, 2015 as a Private Association of the Faithful according to canon law by the Diocese of Boise, Idaho. As membership increases we hope, if God so wills, to qualify for additional canonical status. SDG has been accepted as an affiliate community with the CMSWR (Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious). We thus are able to receive mentorship and use of CMSWR resources.​
Our desire is to make known to the world the healing love of Our Lord Jesus Christ through the living out of our religious Consecration and ministries that touch the hearts of God’s people. We live a simple life, embracing the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience.
Mother Mary Paul has guided the Community through the founding and articulating of God's particular call to living the Gospel as Sisters of Divine Grace. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, through prayer and discernment, we have developed a way of life that is rooted in the divine love of the Heart of God. It is this love, so tender and so infinitely available, this love that heals and restores, that empowers us in our mission of bringing hearts to the Heart of Jesus. We continue to cultivate our identity and way of life as missionaries of the Heart of God.
We have completed the Constitutions / Rule of Life for our present canonical status. While modeling the canonical norms of a religious institute, we possess an autonomy that enables us to move slowly and gently forward as we build our Community. This is an organic process which, as new members enter, we hope will incorporate new insights into our vision and afford fresh opportunities for various ministries. Each new Sister will offer her own unique experiences and skills to the Community and enable us to broaden our ministerial reach.
Our Sisters are vital, healthy, joyful, energetic, and very real and practical women who have chosen to step out of lives of worldly success and into complete abandonment and surrender to Divine Grace. We do not have a particular age limitation. We welcome candidates of various ages who, like us, embrace with excitement the call to creating something new and beautiful for the God with Whom we have fallen madly in love and chosen as Spouse. The harvest is indeed great and laborers are needed! (Matt 9:37-38)

The Holy Spirit is moving our Community in His own time and way. We are looking forward to a future of continued growth and grace-filled blessings!
